There's something about the Triceratops, isn't there. Those three horns, the bony frill, the beaky mouth. They somehow manage to look plucky and courageous, like the diminutive sidekick of some lantern-jawed superhero.
Current research favours the theory that the Triceratops used their three horns for courtship and dominance displays rather than combat. But that definitely won't stop kids from stabbing toy T-Rexes in the belly with them, nor should it!
Like some of the other sets in this theme, this one includes an adult dinosaur and a baby dinosaur. Also featured in the set are some small trees and a hollow tree stump. The hollow tree stump is the lurking-place for the third thing featured in this set: a strawberry blonde man in a green camouflage outfit, wielding what looks to be a plasma rifle. According to official Playmobil doctrine his name is Paul and he carries a "special camera" along with his binoculars, but I say draw your own conclusions.
This Playmobil 5234 Explorer and Triceratops with Baby set features:
- An adult Triceratops and a very, very cute baby Triceratops
- A human figure with tools
- Tree stump setting with winged wildlife flitting around
Not suitable for children under 4 years.
Playmobil figures are 7cm tall and have hands that hold the various scaled accessories, arms that move, head that rotates and body that bends at the waist. Plus the ubiquitous smile of course!
All Playmobil plastic components are made in Germany, except for the figures which are made in Malta. All parts meet the strictest EU and US safety requirements.
